DAY IN THE DISTRICT
10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Celebrate Fort Worth’s “Day in the District” at the Village!  Enjoy a day full of music by Buttermilk Junction, the Twice Upon a Time Storytellers (sponsored by Imagination Celebration Fort Worth), and living history for the whole family.  Admission is FREE for this day only!  More information at http://www.facebook.com/FWDayInTheDistrict

Action needed:

***Be sure to subscribe to our new Blog. We are trying to get away from mass emails, in favor of posting info on the blog. The blog is semi-secret, in that you have to have the link to see it, so please keep that link only for members of our Troop. It will have info on future events where we (women and children) will be. For safety reasons, it doens't make sense to make that info public.

***If you want to share pictures or anything about events after they happen, feel free to share them on our Facebook page.  and encourage Grandma, aunt, whoever to join that Facebook page, as it is open to the public.

***Please respond to me (Peggy) peggycrofut@gmail.com with if your girl is already wearing the correct ribbons and felt pin tab for her current level, or if she needs them.  At our meeting on Oct 16, we will be getting our uniforms straightened out and making those tabs as well as wall banners for badges from past level(s). Dolphins and Butterflies will be sewing their rank ribbons onto their vests, if they are not already on. This is a requirement for SuperTroop award. It does not have to be done perfectly, but they will need to try! This meeting will be at Heritage Church of Christ, in the children's wing.
***If your girl is getting a new vest for this year, please order it soon so there is time for it to get here by Oct 16.  I have rolls of pink and yellow ribbon as well as the Patriot ribbon, and Cyndi has Blue and Green so don't order those from the FG Website.

A shopping list is on the tab at the top of this website and can be found here.

Trinity River Trash Bash

Frontier Girls Troop 120 will be meeting at 8 AM, Saturday, September 20 at Cold Springs Trailhead/Cowtown Wakepark located 2289 Whirlybird Way.
I will pass out your tshirts that morning. We will take a group photo when everyone is there. The trash bash begins at 8:30 am. We have 36 people signed up for Frontier Girls! 21 are youth!
The TRWD provides us with gloves and trash bags. The gloves are adult size and most kids can make do with them. However, feel free to bring your own child-size gloves if you have them.
We walk down the river picking up trash. We walk to the bridge, take some photos on the hill and then return back to our cars. The entire event takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. (longer if you so choose!)

OPTIONAL: All volunteers are invited to the after party at the Panther Island Pavilion (located behind the TCC/RadioShack campus), Start Time from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with free food, door prizes and entertainment by Radio Disney AM 620.

Looking forward to a fun and helpful service project!  ~ kim
